Correct Installation Method Of Cylinder
Mar 24, 2025| The correct installation method of cylinder mainly includes three core links: installation method selection, debugging process and anti-pollution measures, as follows:
1. Installation method selection principle
Determine the installation form according to the load movement direction:
Base type/flange type: Applicable to the situation where the load movement direction is parallel or coaxial with the piston movement direction, such as foot bracket (LB/FB), front flange (FA) or rear flange (FB) installation.
Axis pin type/earring type: Used for long strokes or when the load movement direction is not parallel to the piston direction, such as single ear bracket (SC), double ear bracket (DC) or ear shaft bracket (CT), it is necessary to ensure that the swing direction is consistent.
Example: The magnetic coupling type of rodless cylinder (such as CY3B) can be fixed by end thread or flange (FA/LB), while the mechanical type (such as MY1B) is installed by end cover countersunk screws.
Transverse load control:
The lateral load borne by the bearing should be less than 1/20 of the cylinder output force to avoid damage to the piston rod and seals.
2. Debugging and piping specifications
Speed regulation and buffer adjustment:
Throttle valve debugging: Open gradually from the fully closed state, and use exhaust throttling method to stabilize the speed and reduce impact.
Buffer valve adjustment: Adjust the buffer valve from small to large according to the load and speed to prevent piston rebound or seal damage.
Piping and sealing:
Before piping, the cylinder packaging must be kept intact to prevent foreign matter from entering. The sealing tape should be wrapped from the inner side of 1.5-2 threads from the front end of the thread to prevent debris from contaminating the system.
3. Key points
Cleaning and anti-pollution:
Clean the cylinder and accessories with an air gun before installation to avoid dust causing leakage or malfunction.
The joint surface between the cylinder barrel and the end cover needs to be cleaned with sandpaper of 100 mesh or more to prevent scratches.
Load and centering:
The piston rod needs to be installed vertically, consistent with the direction of the external load axis, to avoid offset or overload.
